Development of Peptide Ligation Method
Peptides are emerging novel therapeutics for various diseases. Peptide drugs have the advantage of targeting protein-protein interactions that are impossible for small molecule drugs. Furthermore, peptide drugs have high selectivity and have potential of being delivered orally. Since the lengths of peptide synthesized by SPPS are limited, ligation methods are essential in order to access these molecules. Development of novel ligation methods provide flexibility in the synthesis of these molecules.
Functional Materials
Fuctionalized silica nanoparticles and polysulfide polymers are synthesized. These novel materials are further investigated in various application.
